SCHOOL BUILDING

The school building was in the making for over ten years, as it was a huge complex originally envisioned by the architects. With the passage of time as enrolment kept growing, all the classrooms had to be completed to accommodate everyone. The building work went on day in day out in winter or summer. And now SFS school building looks mightily impressive with its streamlined boulevards and playfields.

The total built-up area is 8,000 sq m and comprises over 50 classrooms and allied facilities. The school building is situated on a 7-acre plot in the backyard of SFS Seminary where the Fathers on the management team reside. As an extension of the school complex there stands the boys hostel, Rev Fr S L Paul Memorial Hostel, which can accommodate 120 boys. The inmates are mostly students of the junior college who hail from different districts of the state.

A girls’ hostel too is being planned for construction in the near future. The land for this hostel has been purchased just behind the KG park and will be convenient forthe girls to come to the school. At present, they are put up at the Pope John Paul Hostel for Women at Athirampuzha, nearly 3 km from the school. Students commute to and from the school by school transport.
